Gantry Machining Centers

TOS FRF

The TOS FRF moving-gantry machining center can be found in more than 20 countries worldwide. Customers prefer this machine primarily for its robust construction, compact installation footprint, high machining capacity, and outstanding performance. Its high productivity has been recognized by more than 120 customers.

The moving-gantry machining center is primarily designed for machining complex shapes in the production of molds, dies, and stamping tools, as well as highly complex and large workpieces requiring simultaneous machining on three to five coordinated axes.

Machining movements are performed along three linear axes and two rotary axes. The machine's technical specifications allow it to process a wide range of materials, including alloy steels and light metal alloys.

TOS FRU

The main feature of the TOS FRU machining center is its moving-gantry design, which allows full utilization of the table's working surface. The machine is designed for machining large and complex workpieces. Its versatility is further enhanced by the possibility of using universal milling heads manufactured by TOS Kuřim.

The machine's high productivity is based on its advanced design solutions. High material removal rates, robust construction, and automatic milling head changing make the TOS FRU particularly suitable for demanding and complex machining operations.

Customers use the machine for machining components such as railway switches for tram systems, steam turbines, marine engines, turbine blades, and aircraft components.

TOS FRP

The TOS FRP gantry machining center is designed for conventional and high-speed machining of large and complex-shaped workpieces. The machine features a rigid bed with a moving worktable and a fixed gantry equipped with a movable crossbeam. Customers can choose between linear and hydrostatic guideways.

The FRP machining center also supports turning operations when equipped with an optional rotary turning table. Universal milling heads are commonly used, enabling a wide range of machining operations.

Customers choose the TOS FRP for machining aircraft engine components, diesel locomotive components, and steam turbine casings.

Thanks to its high power and torque, the FRP is also suitable for heavy-duty roughing operations.
